SITE : 106 COMMERCIAL STREET,LONDON
In the nineteenth century, the site for this project was originally built as stables for horse-drawn taxis. Located in the space behind buildings on Commercial Street, Hanbury Street, Puma Court and Wilkes Street the site is invisible to passers-by but for an entrance arch on Commercial Street.

A protected open courtyard space has been enclosed to create a triple-height atrium space around which original brick buildings are arranged at basement level, first-floor level and ‘loft’ level. Although the atrium roof is relatively new the building still boasts many original features including exposed brickwork walls, cast-iron columns, timberwork and brick floors.

The three sections of the site will be designed as two thematic spaces based on two different needs: the Christmas market entrance, the "Brexit" bar, each of which will be remodelled around its theme.
