BRIEF

THE JOURNEY BEGINS

There is a clockwork-shaped signboard at the door of the building's facade. Its shape is an 'infinity symbol', which means that Christmas songs are played in a loop. Along with passing through the corridor and going up the stairs, people begin to enter a world of music boxes.

Borrowing the light-transmissive roof portion of the site itself, the 2d facade of a Christmas cottage is paved with soft materials. As the photo wall faces the entrance gate, people can enter the atrium through the false fireplace opening in the middle of the wall. From here, it leads people into a situation that is detached from reality.

SANTA'S WORKSHOP

THE INSIDE OF THE MUSIC BOX

Walkthrough Santa's "fireplace" and enter the atrium with a wide view, trying to concentrate the bar, exhibition notice area on one side of the wall. The white fake turf mimics the snow, dividing a passage that leads to the museum's entrance.

INSTALLATION

The four rotating drum installations in the atrium are inspired by the short sunshine hours of London in winter. The huge “clocks” that rotate based on the sunshine hours of the vernal equinox, June solstice, the autumnal equinox, and the winter solstice, remind people of the passing of time and the preciousness of reunion in the dark.
